Environmental Responsibility Statement

Updated April 17, 2025

MOCA is working toward a sustainable present to ensure a better future. To achieve this goal, the museum formed an Environmental Council to braid climate, conservation, and environmental justice into its fabric. As the creative work of artists is pivotal to both awareness and action, MOCA uses artist collaborations, exhibitions, and public programming to foster dialogue around critical environmental issues. MOCA works in active partnership with and for diverse communities, to contribute to environmental justice and planetary wellbeing. In the spirit of transparency, MOCA publicly shares its sustainability efforts to build capacity in our community.
