The BlackStar Film Festival is an annual celebration of the visual and storytelling traditions of the African diaspora and global indigenous communities, showcasing films by Black people from around the world. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Maori Karmael Holmes, BlackStar Film Festival founder and artistic director.

Printed Matter’s LA Art Book Fair 2019

Printed Matter’s LA Art Book Fair (LAABF) returns to The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in 2019. This year’s Fair welcomes 390 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, featuring small press publishers, artists, collectives, institutions, galleries, antiquarian booksellers, and distributors, including the participation of nearly 100 first-time exhibitors. As always, the fair will be free and open to the public.
