The archives of Simone Forti and Barbara T. Smith

Members at the Director's Forum level and above are invited to a behind-the-scenes tour and exhibition walkthrough at the Getty Research Institute (GRI). The GRI holds extensive collections, including the archives of MOCA collection artists Simone Forti and Barbara T. Smith. Together we will learn how the GRI utilizes these materials for scholarly research, publications, and exhibitions.

Guided by Glenn Phillips, Sr. Curator and Head of Exhibitions and Modern and Contemporary Collections, and Pietro Rigolo, Associate Curator in Modern and Contemporary Collections at the GRI, MOCA members will enjoy a private viewing of materials from Forti's archive followed by a walkthrough of the exhibition Barbara T. Smith: The Way to Be.
