Los Angeles-based urban and media historian, critic, and novelist Norman Klein is the author of The History of Forgetting: Los Angeles and the Erasure of Memory; Seven Minutes: The Life and Death of the American Animated Cartoon; and The Imaginary 20th Century, among others. Klein will, through his own lens on the blurring of fact and fiction, discuss his work in the context of Adrián Villar Rojas’s site-specific exhibition The Theater of Disappearance.
Immediately following the lecture, Klein will be signing copies of his newest book The Floating Class in the MOCA Store.
Priority tickets are available to MOCA members one hour before the program. Fifteen minutes before the program begins tickets will be released to non-members. One ticket per person on a first come, first served basis. Early arrival is recommended.
