In celebration of the culture of reggae and the legacy of one of the movement’s icons, Bob Marley, this MOCA Music session is presented in collaboration with To Di World Collective, and Young African Movement. Kicking off International Reggae Month, the program draws from rich diasporic African influences and is inspired by the MOCA mural created by artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby—an ambitious work fusing Nigerian and American source materials, histories, and cultural reference in a palette rife with printed fabrics and vibrant greenery. The evening features performances by Roots Percussionist (Hector Lewis), Mystic Marley, and special guests. DJ set by Shacia Päyne.
