Haffar is a Los Angeles–based instrumentalist, modular synth aficionada, and co-creator of “Modular on the Spot,” a monthly outdoor happening on the Los Angeles River. Composer, performer, and programmer Stephanie Cheng Smith creates interactive installations and through-composed (continuous and non-repetitive) music using electronics and violin in combination with light. Her atmospheric performance will incorporate live electronics and motor arrays to evoke night-calling insects and awakened memories. Both will expand on their latest explorations in experimental music as a part of the MOCA Music series.
