In person: Kevin Jerome Everson
Kevin Jerome Everson is one of the foremost experimental filmmakers working today. With Park Lanes (2015), a workday-length documentary that is both epic and quotidian, he patiently examines the material conditions of labor at a factory in Virginia that produces bowling alley supplies. Purely observational, Park Lanes is an eight-hour day experienced in real time. Everson will be present to introduce and discuss the work. This screening will be the west coast premiere of the film.
