Member Event

All Leadership Circle supporters and members at the $200 level and higher are invited to a walkthrough of the exhibition Mapping an Art World: Los Angeles in the 1970s-80s led by Associate Curator Rebecca Lowery.

Mapping an Art World: Los Angeles in the 1970s-80s revisits the decades leading up to the founding of MOCA in 1979 and the opening of our Grand Avenue building in 1986. Through the presentation of works from MOCA’s collection, the exhibition reconsiders the pivotal decades of the 1970s and 1980s, exploring the spirit of experimentation and the unique cultural and social landscape that firmly established Los Angeles as one of the most dynamic art capitals in the world—and MOCA as an enduring presence for the city’s artists.

An invitation with event details will be emailed to members at the $200 level and above. Memberships can be purchased or renewed online. If you would like to upgrade an existing membership, please contact the Membership Department at membership@moca.org.
