Kamawanu demonstration: How to Use Tenugui
There are no rules for how to use tenugui. Tenuguis are multipurpose hand-dyed cotton towels that have a long tradition in everyday life in Japan. With their colorful inks and patterns, the tenugui are often used for wrapping items for gifts, turned into accessories, or given as a token of luck and appreciation. The president of Kamawanu, a tenugui designer in Tokyo famous for its injection dyeing technique, will be in the store to share the history and tradition of these cloths.
MOCA Store and Tortoise General Store have designed an exclusive tenugui cloth that will be released during this event.
