MOCA members are invited to celebrate the opening of Zoe Leonard: Survey and Laura Owens. Meet other MOCA members and enjoy a glass of wine while getting a first look at these significant retrospectives. Zoe Leonard: Survey is the first large-scale overview of the artist’s work in an American museum. The exhibition looks across Leonard’s career to highlight her engagement with a range of themes, including gender and sexuality, loss and mourning, migration, displacement, and the urban landscape. Laura Owens is a mid-career survey of the Los Angeles based artist, the most comprehensive exhibition of Owens’s work to-date, featuring approximately 60 paintings from the mid-1990s until today.
