This exhibition explored breakthrough works made by some of the most important young artists to graduate from leading international art schools in the 1990s in such locations as Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, London, and Tokyo. Featuring Matthew Barney, Thomas Demand, Renee Green, Damien Hirst, Steve McQueen, Takashi Murakami, Chris Ofili, Laura Owens, Diana Thater, and Rachel Whiteread, the exhibition examined the conditions, consequences, and contexts surrounding these formative works.
