Christian Boltanski: Lessons of Darkness

Due to the devastating wildfires currently impacting Los Angeles, the museum is closed at both locations through Sunday, Jan 12, 2025.

Sixty-two works from 1970-88 including vitrine works, groupings of found photographs, large-scale photographic works and altar-like assemblages; accompanied by a catalogue. Co-organized by MOCA, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, and The New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, and appeared in addition to those venues at the Vancouver Art Gallery, the University Art Museum, Berkeley, and The Power Plant, Toronto.
