Abstract Painting Since 1960

Due to the devastating wildfires currently impacting Los Angeles, the museum is closed at both locations through Sunday, Jan 12, 2025.

Featured paintings from the 1960s, '70s and '80s, including examples of color-field, minimal and hard-edge work from such artists as Ellsworth Kelly, Morris Louis, Agnes Martin, John McLaughlin and Frank Stella. Along with "Postwar Abstraction: 1945-60;" a historical context for "The Image of Abstraction."
