Open Window features artists who use the computer desktop in their work. The desktop is a unique site, both introspective and outward facing, where conception, production, and distribution can occur simultaneously. This compression is emblematic of our current moment and is a critical development in the history of the moving image.

Participating artists include Victoria Fu, Devin Kenny, Nicole Miller, Dylan Mira, Sondra Perry, Hito Steyerl and Martine Syms and Kahlil Joseph. Open Window is organized by Marco Kane Braunschweiler.

Open Window was presented at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles on Thursday, June 9, 2016.

The program includes an online screening, with films viewable, for a limited duration, at moca.org/screen, the schedule is included below.
